HARVI
HARVI is required for Load monitoring where your existing electrical installation is close to, or exceeds the maximum limit of your main cut out fuse.
It is installed near the supply meter and powers itself using the CT clamp provided with the charger.
FAQ's
What EV charging product do I choose?
As an installer, I like to use the Zappi 7kw Charging Unit as detailed above. This is because of the advanced technology and high quality feel to the charging unit.
From a technical perspective, Zappi has integrated Load monitoring and there is no requirement to install an earth electrode, which makes this charger the easiest and safest to install.
Tethered or untethered?
Tethered is great if you have some surrounding room around the charger, due to the fact you will need to wrap the cable around the unit. It's handy for quickly unwinding the cable and plugging in, with no need to plug the lead into the charger first.
Untethered is more mobile, with the ability to remove the lead from the unit and transport it around with you, for on the go charging. They are also beneficial when fitting the unit into a small space with not much surrounding room.
